Edward Keith Stoddard Jr. really likes his PlayStation 3 (PS3). So much, in fact, that if you were to touch it, he may just kill you. Such was the fate of his neighbor, Douglas F. Abrams, who Stoddard suspected of stealing his PS3.

Police reports say that during an argument over the missing console late Wednesday night, Stoddard shot Abrams, fatally wounding him. After police showed up on the scene, Stoddard surrendered and is now in Land O’Lakes jail in Dade County, Florida.

Love your console, people. Just don’t get jealous if it drops by the neighbors’ house for some tea.

According to police, stationary cameras first snapped DMX in triple digits around 8:24 PM . One minute later he was spotted again — this time doing 114. Three minutes later he was clocked doing 101 … and he did all that in a yellow 1966 Chevy Nova II.

DMX, real name Earl Simmons, faces charges of racing on a highway, reckless driving, two counts of endangerment, three counts of criminal speed and driving on a suspended license. Source

Atlanta police are searching for a gunman who shot a man twice inside of Compound Night Club this morning (April 18).

The shooting happened during a “Hot on the Runway” fashion show, which was sponsored by popular Hip-Hop station Hot 107.9.

Celebrities like Mario, Ashanti, Young Berg, Ray J, Lil Scrappy, Diamond had performed or were present during the evening, in what was described as a successful event, until the shots rang out, long after the fashion show had ended.

According to police, a 22-year-old man was sitting on a couch near the club’s bar in the terrace area, when an unknown assailant shot him twice in the abdomen.

“I heard four pops and was out of the VIP area and saw people running,” an eyewitness told AllHipHop.com. “The way the venue is set up, there is a backroom. And the people in the backroom had no idea what was happening because the music was so loud. Immediately after that I saw people running out of the venue. Security came in and informed everyone what happened and they evacuated the building.”

The man who was shot was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was treated for gunshot wounds and is in serious condition.

Police said there was no altercation before the gunfire and that witnesses only heard gunshots, they did not see a weapon or the shooter running.

Police also said that witnesses were not being cooperative.

At press time there are no suspects.

Five people injured during a shooting at a 2006 Plies concert have filed a civil suit against the rapper, seeking $10 million in damages. The South Florida native is one of several defendants being sued by the Gainsville, FL residents.

“If they’re suing Mr. Washington, they’re suing the wrong person,” said Plies attorney Robert Rush. “He does not have legal liability. It is not an entertainer’s job to provide security for a club where the entertainer is performing.”

According to the Gainsville Sun, Plies’ label, Slip-N-Slide Records and the Gainesville nightclub 283 West, where the incident took place, are also named in the suit.

Reports say that the performers entourage fired into a sold-out crowd of close to 1,000 after the rapper’s microphone was shut off to allow the next performer, Lil’ Boosie, to take the stage.

Plies, whose real name is Algernod Washington, had his brother Ronell Lavatte in attendance. Lavatte and another man, Tory Carnegie, were the accused shooters and were charged with attempted murder. Police searched Lavatte’s vehicle and found five loaded firearms and additional rounds of ammunition.

Plies was also searched after the shooting, resulting in a charge of illegal possession of a concealed weapon. He later pled no contest to the charge.

A group of third-graders plotted to attack their teacher, bringing a broken steak knife, handcuffs, duct tape and other items for the job and assigning children tasks including covering the windows and cleaning up afterward, police said Tuesday.The plot involving as many as nine boys and girls at Center Elementary School in south Georgia was a serious threat, Waycross Police Chief Tony Tanner said.

School officials alerted police Friday after a pupil tipped off a teacher that a girl had brought a weapon to school. Tanner said the students apparently planned to knock the teacher unconscious with a crystal paperweight, bind her with the handcuffs and tape and then stab her with the knife.

“We did not hear anybody say they intended to kill her, but could they have accidentally killed her? Absolutely,” Tanner said. “We feel like if they weren’t interrupted, there would have been an attempt. Would they have been successful? We don’t know.”

Cops in Georgia arrested a 17-year-old boy on Friday and charged him with killing his mother, who was a local sheriff’s deputy, and his two small sisters. One of those little girls was the daughter of rapper Juvenile.

Anthony Tyrone Terrell Jr. allegedly gunned down his mother, Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Deputy Joy Deleston, 39, and her two daughters, Micaiah, 11, and Jelani, 4.

Jelani was Juvenile’s daughter. In 2003, the rapper, whose real name is Terius Gray, was arrested for abandonment of a dependent child after a DNA test determined he was the father.

Terrell, a sophomore at Central Gwinnett High School, has been charged with three counts of murder and three counts of aggravated assault. He is currently being held in the DeKalb County Jail.

A rep from Atlantic Records had no comment.
